ENT (Emilia has Never been Tougher)
Today was the big day - tubes! I was up at 4:30, fed Abram, got myself cleaned up, dressed and had breakfast. Then Anabelle up, dressed, breakfast and then it was Mike's turn. All had to be done before Emilia was up so she didn't get upset because she couldn't eat or drink. We were at the Hibbeln Surgery Center by 6:30 and in surgery by 8:10.

Our little trooper was so good it made everything run smoothly. Of course, her quirky little personality didn't hurt. She is so outgoing and friendly she instantly made friends in the waiting area, was waiving to all the nurses and staff around the center and was playing peek-a-boo with the anesthesiologist. When it was time to leave us and go back for the procedure, she just went with the nurse (a male nurse) and waived goodbye. When I got back in the room after, she was rocking with another nurse in a chair sipping some apple juice. Unfortunately the doctor said her ears were much worse than they thought and one was actually infected. She'll need another round of antibiotics and some ear drops for at least another week.
