Proud Mama

Anabelle brought home her second quarter report card today. Overall it was a great evaluation and we are extremely proud of her progress in reading, writing and math. I do however have to tell you that all that aside, as a parent there is honestly nothing better than being told that your child is hard-working and kind. It is so important to me that Anabelle learn empathy at an early age and that she treat others as she would like to be treated. Looks like we are on the right path.

Emilia has also learned a few things this quarter and even just this week. She's added "bubble" and "snow" to her vocabulary. She's learned to shake her head yes... huge improvement from the consistent head-rattling "no" to everything. She's learned that she can fit two stuffed animals, a woobie and a baby doll in her arms at night while falling asleep in a crib that also holds a pillow pet and two blankets. She's learned that it's much easier to lose her pacifier at night with all those necessities in bed and that her Daddy will run in and find it for her any time she wishes.

She's learned that there is nothing better than Jello pudding snacks...
... and how to steal her sister's big-girl hat and look cuter than humanly possible.

Now, if we could just teach her that in a few short weeks she's not going to be the "baby" anymore... I'm afraid that lesson is going to come a little late. Wish us luck!
