What a Weekend!

This was a tough weekend. One of those weekends where come Sunday night you want to curl up in a bath with a stiff drink and take a swim in lake me. I'll try my best, but without the stiff drink it really isn't the same. A little over three months left until we meet this little guy. I can't wait, for him or the stiff drink! Anyway, we were busier than usual with Butler having nine home events Friday through Sunday and Mike needing to be at just about all of it.

While Mike was at work, the girls and I started the weekend on Friday night and Saturday morning, picking up and putting back together the playroom and their bedroom. We are still waiting on the click bed for the playroom, and everything is still not where we want it, but at least we've made some progress.

Anabelle even found some time to draw a picture of her favorite baby brother boy name, as well as dress up her sister (and herself) in princess outfits.

Saturday night the girls and I met Mike at Hinkle Field house, watched a little volleyball, then headed to a surprise party for Tiff (Blue II's mom). We got to meet Everett, Tiff and Michael's brand-new baby boy, and spent some time with the Butler crew. Ana and Emilia had fun and didn't cause too much chaos (I hope). It was a rare evening out for me and I really enjoyed being around everyone.

Sunday Anabelle went to Sunday School, and I booked it straight to Target so I could buy the $30 entry-way Christmas tree pair that I've been wanting for two years now. They are nothing fancy and every year Mike tells me to just buy them, but I always wait for the "deal of the century" then go to to buy them and they're sold out. Yay! Finally have them.
After Sunday School and a quick lunch at home, we headed back to campus to watch the Butler women's soccer team play Wisconsin Milwaukee in the Horizon League championship game. Unfortunately, they lost, but we stayed warm in the Champion's Room and enjoyed some free Qudoba. Can't beat that!

We made it home Sunday after the game, but I very quickly hit a wall and thought I was going to fall over waiting for Mike to get home. I was completely worn out and the girls... bless their hearts... were driving me bonkers. However, because of daylight savings and the "fall back" we put the girls to bed a little early and aren't feeling so guilty about it. They need the rest, right!?

We have another busy week ahead of us - Tipoff dinner for Mike on Monday, dance for Anabelle on Tuesday, John Melloncamp concert on Thursday, parent-teacher conferences on Friday and the Butler men's basketball team's home opener on Saturday. Whew! Wish us luck.
