Parent Teacher Conferences
Mike and I attended Anabelle's first parent-teacher conference Friday morning. Not knowing what to expect, we were so happy (and relieved) with the results. It's a little stressful not knowing how your child acts outside of your presence and I felt that not only was the conference a reflection of Anabelle's academic performance, but an evaluation of us as parents. You hope and pray you've set a good example and given her the tools to be a good citizen, but just never know!
Anyway, Anabelle is doing great. She recognizes all of her letters, numbers and sounds and is completely in line with where she should be at this stage in kindergarten. The teacher's only concern, which she said was completely normal, is Ana's socializing. With 15 girls, 7 boys in the class, she said she has to often remind the girls that there is time for being social and time to be serious and quiet. Too funny!
