And so it begins...

I knew once Anabelle started kindergarten all the other stuff (you know, besides learning) would come along with it.  Boys, toys, BFFs, bullying and drama. Little did I know that all that other "stuff" would start so soon... it's only the third week!

Where to begin? Ana has had a new BFF every day this week. Ivy, Jordan, Noah (yes, a boy) and Lauren. A second grader has been mean to her on the bus telling Ana, "Quit talking to me, Dude"  and she's refused to use the bathroom at school because it, "scares me because I don't remember what it looks like sometimes".

Next are toys. We've bought packages of Silly Bandz and EVERY place we go, she's tempted by the need, the greed to have more, more, more Silly Bandz!

Just today I learned about Pillow Pets when Anabelle came home from school raving about how her friend Dani has a unicorn Pillow Pet and she just HAD to have one. Pretty ironic because her lame Mommy had stopped at Hallmark on the way home from work (also today) and was trying to figure out what all these fluffy characters on the main rack were all about, and who would spend their money on it?!?
Then, after thoughtfully and thoroughly going through Anabelle's take-home folder proud of all the things she's learned, I discovered the mother load; the beginning of the end. Yes, Anabelle has somehow, somewhere decided to turn the "a" in her name into a heart.

Enough said.
