Bring on the Madness

Our March Madness has officially started. Mike left for Washington D.C. on Tuesday for the first-round of the NCAA tournament, which meant I had the kids all to myself until Friday (if Butler lost) and Sunday (if Butler won). The good news, they won! The bad news, they won!

The kids and I have done fine, not without a few meltdowns by both them and me, but for the most part we've survived. The girls had a fun St. Patrick's day, we enjoyed the nice weather this week and even got a picture or two from Mike making the most of his free time in the nation's capital.

I've been glued to the TV watching all the games, which has been the best part of maternity leave in March (you know, besides the baby). I was reminded by Anabelle today that I need to get my rear in gear as she asked me, "Mommy, since the baby is born, when is your tummy going to get back to normal like mine?" Don't you love the honesty? I told her, "When pigs fly" to which she promptly responded with a very excited look on her face, "When is that gonna happen?"

We are looking forward to another two days of exciting basketball and a Butler win. Most of all, we can't wait for Daddy to get home!

Enjoying the nice day, but boy was it windy!
