Freeman Pre-game Warm-ups

Saturday I took Anabelle to HIP Studios to plan her birthday party. Yes, I know, I'm crazy. Her birthday is June 6th. Why on earth am I planning it now? I just needed to get it out of the way and mark one more thing off my list. She's been talking about having a girl-only party at HIP for months now and bugging the heck out of me to make an invite list. So we now have a dress-up tea party planned for Saturday, June 4th from 3-5. She picked her menu (bologna sandwiches and fruit kabobs), dessert (cupcakes) and activities (nail painting, frame decorating & dance party). Best part? HIP also takes care of the invitations and gift bags. Booyah. No work for me other than writing the check. I like it.

The only big concern Anabelle had about the party was that her boy cousins wouldn't be able to come. I told her that we'd have a family party so we could also celebrate Emilia's birthday probably sometime the next weekend so that her boy cousins could celebrate. So cute and thoughtful!

The girls were very, very rambunctious on Sunday. Emilia only took a 45 minute nap and I was exhausted. So, in hopes that they'd settle down during the games, so I could at least watch a little, I attempted to tire them out. I call it the Freeman pre-game routine.

The exercises didnt really tire them out. In fact, they might have had the opposite effect, making them more crazy. Oh well. Although Anabelle really had no interest in watching the games on TV, Emilia always seems to like it. She yells, "basketball" and "daddy" when the Bulldogs are on TV.

We are ready for another week ahead. Only 24 more days before new baby. Have a good one everybody!
