Halloween Weekend - Part I

We started the Halloween weekend with a jam-packed Friday full of crazy hair, parties and pumpkin carving. Because the school doesn't allow the kids to dress up or have Halloween parties anymore, opting for fall parties instead, today was a crazy hair spirit day (no hair color allowed). Ana went with the multi-pony tail look in conjunction with her Halloween cat shirt.

Emilia had a pitch-in party at daycare, we brought cheese (her favorite). Instead of a costume, she wore a brand-new pumpkin shirt, which was covered in cookie icing and mulch by the end of the day.

I tried hard to get a cute picture of the girls together this morning before they left for the day, but they both had ants in the pants. The only way to keep their attention long enough for the flash to go off, was to make everyone find their nose.

I had a pitch-in at work and ate way entirely too much before 10:30, at which time I had to leave and meet Mike for a 23 week checkup at the doctor. All looked good. Next appointment scheduled for the Monday after Thanksgiving when I'll have another ultrasound, as well as my glucose test.

After school we had some mac & cheese, killed a prehistoric gargantuan bug, the biggest thing I've ever seen (I need to remember to take pictures of these things) and then carved pumpkins.

Emilia had a hard time keeping the guts out of her mouth, while Ana was a champ helping Daddy. I remember last year Ana was too grossed out by the insides to even help carve. How they change over a year!
