It’s taken awhile to get back to blogging. After a rough April and May, we’ve somehow almost cruised right through June and into July. Time really does fly.
We celebrated the girls’ birthdays this weekend. Ana (5) and Emilia (1) shared the first of many joint parties and family gatherings.
We’ve also stayed busy over the past month. Anabelle had her annual spring dance recital at the end of May. I was a backstage mom… not an easy job! I had to keep seven five-year-olds corralled and quiet. Not sure I’ll be asked back next year!
Anabelle has been super busy at school. They’ve started their summer program, which is as follows:
Monday: Karate
Tuesday: Bowling Alley
Wednesday: Movie Theatre
Thursday: Cooking/Ice Cream
Friday: Bible Study
She’ll also be going to a three-day basketball camp next week with Quinci and Qunci’s Mommy, Coach Amy.
Anabelle also registered for kindergarten the second week of June and is now officially enrolled at Cardinal Elementary!

Emilia moved up to the one-year-old room last week. She’s taking naps on a cot (instead of in a crib) and eating at a table (instead of a high chair).
Mike’s been busy at work and just wrapped up his annual Hall of Fame event and annual golf outing.
I’ve not done great at my weight-loss healthy lifestyle. Don’t get me started on excuses; I have a list a mile long. To help with the motivation I’ve signed up for a 5K on the 4th of July, and am thinking about signing up for a 5M in September. Wish me luck!
Kristin, AJ and I also signed up for the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini Marathon (May 2011). We plan to start a Determi-Nation ACS team to raise money for cancer research.
I hope the updates will start to be more often! Stay tuned…
